The University was one of the first among the educational institutions of Ukraine which developed and implemented distance learning methods, on its initiative the Ukrainian Association of Distance Education was established to unite and coordinate activities in this area, including with educational institutions of the CIS countries. A high level of the quality of education is provided not only by the modern material and technical base of the university, the publication of new textbooks, teaching aids and scientific monographs. High quality of education and wide international relations of KNURE with foreign universities allow students, postgraduates and teachers to study and work in leading universities of the world .All conditions for the development of a student as a harmonious person are created in KHNURE: a library, reading rooms, a cultural center with numerous folk art groups, a sports club, etc. KHNURE is engaged in scientific work on the issues of upbringing, the development of new teaching methods, the results of which are covered in the journal Novy Collegium, which is published by the university.

The stable development of scientific schools and promising scientific directions is carried out in the conditions of active cooperation with foreign partners, namely with the universities of Great Britain, Finland, France, Germany, USA and other countries with the aim of integrating the university into the European and world higher education system. The priority area of cooperation is the participation of the university’s research teams in fundamental and applied research funded by the European Union, in particular within the INTAS and Inco-Copernicus programs. University students are actively involved in scientific work in the implementation of international projects. As a result, the KHNURE has created a new integrated system for training specialists at the educational and qualification levels “specialist”, “master”, which allows the university to enter the general network of technical universities in the European Union.

On the basis of scientific and technical developments of scientists, the University created modern medical diagnostic rooms, which became the main one for effective work of the sanatorium-preventorium “Impuls”, counted on 100 places, where students and university employees have the opportunity to go through courses of treatment or general health improvement.
